The
Riddells Creek Fire Brigade is responsible for the prevention and
suppression of fires in the Riddells Creek and surrounding area.
Riddells Creek is a small country town
nestled in the foot hills of the Macedon ranges and is located approximately
50 kilometres north west of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and with
an estimated population of 2600 residents.
The brigade is a fully volunteer organisation and
is supported by staff at Region 14 headquarters at Melton. In other
words our members are not paid for performing their role on a day
to day basis.
As stated above, we are not only responsible for
attending emergencies, but also preventing fires and engaging with
the public in order to “create a safer community”.
