The Riddells Creek Fire Brigade attends in excess
of 100 incidents per year. Because of the unique blend of urban
and rural living here at Riddells Creek, the brigade is professionally
trained in combating a wide range of emergencies including;
Grass and forest fires
House and structure fires
Car fires
Motor vehicle accidents and other rescue duties
Hazardous material emergencies
And attending premises with automatic
fire alarms that have activated
The Riddells Creek Fire Brigade
is a fully volunteer brigade and supports not only the local community,
but also our close neighbours including Gisborne, Sunbury, Clarkefield,
Hesket-Kerrie and Bolinda Monegeetta.
The brigade can receive a call at any time
of the day. Members are often required to stop what they’re
doing in order to respond to the emergency. People often wonder
how the brigade are informed of the emergency call. Visit how
we are responded in order to find out more.
Over the past century the brigade has attended
a number of significant wildfires and structure fires including
the devastating Ash Wednesday Fires in 1983. Further details of
these major incidents can be found in our brigade
history.
