The junior brigade consists of girls and boys between
the ages of 11 and 16. The aim of the junior brigade is to promote
fire awareness and to provide basic training for those wishing to
continue on to the senior ranks.
The
junior brigade meets every Monday night of the school term between
730pm and 9pm. Parents are asked to drop their children off 5 minutes
prior to the commencement and to be there 5 minutes prior to completion
to pick their children up again. Any parents wishing to stay and
wait or that may be interested in assisting in the running of the
junior brigade please ask one of the senior brigade members on the
night.
The junior brigade is not all training and the
juniors participate in many fun team building activities. Trips
or excursions are organized from time to time as well.
All activities are fully supervised and activity
that requires a junior to leave the station will only be with parental
consent.
