Community Safety

As well as suppressing fires, the CFA is responsible for preventing fires and developing community education programs for both summer wildfire safety and winter house fire safety.

The Riddells Creek Fire Brigade provide a number of fire safety education programs to kindergarten and school children throughout the year.

In addition to this we also arrange for a number of “FireReady” street corner meetings which take place in recognised high fire-risk areas around Riddells Creek each summer and seek to educate community members about house preparation and what to do when threatened by wildfire.
